Robb Hamic
Certified Law Enforcement Trainer

I have been involved in military, law enforcement or security for over half my life. I am a US Army Desert Storm Veteran. I have experience as a law enforcement officer and Detective. I have experience in patrol procedures, traffic enforcement, crime recognition, arrest, and investigation of property crime, white collar, street crimes, and violent crime and auto theft and especially fraud investigations. I founded a private company providing security and investigation services that now employs over one hundred people and I have managed every aspect of the firm’s development.

I am an experienced and certified law enforcement/ military trainer and I am authorized to teach the use of every weapon an officer carries, basic investigation techniques, interview and interrogation. I am an instructor for advanced investigator techniques, surveillance, financial crimes and fraud investigation. I am an expert on facility security; officer training requirements, risk assessments, and many other aspects of physical industrial security. I have personally delivered training to well over five thousand individuals. I have personally provided risk assessments making physical security recommendations for over one thousand businesses, government facilities or transit systems across the United States.

I founded Summit Self Defense and started my path to becoming a professional trainer over six years ago. I consider myself a full-time trainer and attend over a dozen instructor development schools per year. I train groups, law enforcement agencies, military units or privately many times per week. I have formed a team of instructors with the same ethics and objectives and we provide all types of training locally, nationally and internationally.

I now specialize in non-traditional methods including Israeli Krav Maga and American combatitives, shooting and knife fighting. I train under IMI Lichtenfield's successor Krav Maga's Grand Master Haim Gidon, Combat Focus Shooting™ founder Rob Pincus, Counter-terror expert Nir Maman among others. I teach several cutting edge systems under master instructors including Tony Blauer of Blauer Tactical Systems. I am a master firearms instructor and instruct most weapons platforms and a number of gun deployment systems. I have several copyrighted lesson plans and gun deployment systems. I am in excellent physical condition and train myself hard. I realize that I am my first student.
